Intensity should be something you're familiar with at this point, if you have paid attention to any workout programs. By shortening the rests in-between sets, you are increasing the intensity by the very nature of it. Set a goal to not only limit your in-between set rests, but set a total overall limit to your workout.
The best way to acheive this is to organize your workout routine for the day, from beginning to end. This efficiency is going to build in intensity. By being so efficient you will automatically go from exercise to exercise faster and accomplish your goal of a fast workout. By increasing the intensity, your muscle density will be increased in a much shorter span of time. This is your goal, isn't it?
