When I went to dance class the teacher looked at me and frowned and told me to go to the gymn and come back when I had more muscle. It was so embrassing because it was in front of the entire dance company and my first day. When I went into the gymn there wasn't anyone that knew what they were doing. Oh, they were big, but they did the lift and see method. There was no organization to it, no research, no trial and error method, nothing. The height of embrassment came when there was a body building competition and they put my name on it. I did not show up of course. But, they said there was a division for me and that they guy who won was worse off than I was. These were my "friends". That was all at school. Fast forward 5 years later and I was still skinny.

At school I did get into physical therapy classes and biology. Through my activities, dance, weight lifting and team sports, I became a fitness trainer in my own right. However, what I learned in school was just basic things. I still did not know about the real ugly side of the weight lifting industry. Sure I dreamed of having rippling muscles and an invisible neck due to those bulging muscles, but how do you go from skinny to WOW? How do you pack on pounds on a thin frame? Supplementation was not the answer either. I took supplements and developed a belly. It was a nightmare mixed in with torment. I stopped the supplements and quickly lost my belly. I knew how to shred and lose fat easily. But gaining muscle was my Moby Dick. Gaining muscle was my John Galt. Gaining muscle was my elusive nemesis.

I didn't want to waste time doing repitition that gave no results to speak of. Remember, my body was super efficient, anything I ate or drank was processed quickly and disposed of. This included extra muscle. I had to come to some knowledge of how maintain a super efficient metabolism yet balance it out with muscle. I have now stumbled upon that knowledge.
